Gatsby Benchmarks

For students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 we have a comprehensive programme to prepare students for the world of work which is in line with the Gatsby Benchmarks.  This framework is used in order to improve careers provision in schools.

The eight Gatsby benchmarks of Good Career Guidance

1. A stable careers programme
2. Learning from career and labour market information
3. Addressing the needs of each pupil
4. Linking curriculum learning to careers
5. Encounters with employers and employees
6. Experiences of workplaces
7. Encounters with further and higher education
8. Personal guidance

We measure the impact of this programme by tracking leavers destinations post Highfield Littleport.  Last year we had 3 leavers and all moved on to college courses linked to their individual interests and career aspirations.
