Deep Time - Inspired By Art Celebration Highfields Littleport
During the year we have had the pleasure of working with Babylon Arts and the Artist Kaitlin Ferguson and her assistants, Lyn Pryor and Amy Wormald. This co-creation was inspired by the geological past of Wicken Fen.
World Book Day 2024
HLA welcomed 3 authors to our school and celebrated World Book Day with author reading and drawing sessions. Students also listened to sensory stories throughout the day. We really had an amazing day.
Grafham Water Residential March 2024
Funded by NCS, some of Y11 students had the opportunity to stay overnight at Grafham Water Centre, with pupils from 4 other local SEND schools. It was a great chance to meet new people, improve their independence skills and try some exciting activities!
International Mother Language Day 21st February 2024
A language is much more than just a way of communicating. Language, and particularly our mother tongue, is an important part of our culture. HLA enjoyed celebrating International Mother Language day which is usually held every year on the 21st February. Students and staff focused on different languages and countries and included food tasting, traditional dancing and craft activities. Please take a look at our photo gallery.
