The Special School part of the site is really taking shape now. As you step inside we now have rooms with internal walls, windows are now being put in and internal power is being installed. Within the last week we approved the final colour and carpet schemes and are sourcing quality specialist equipment for our multisensory, soft play and other specialist rooms. We have a hydrotherapy pool and we all cant wait to get in there and use these excellent facilities. The project is working on schedule with contractors really committing 100% to thier work.
We are working behind the scenes to formulate a fully inclusive curriculum which meets the needs of each individual. We are excited to be given the opportunity to work in tandem with Littleport and East Cambridgeshire Academy in providing a broad and balanced curriculum suited to all of our learners.
Last week we also confirmed the supply of school uniform for Highfield Littleport. We are having a webshop in order for parents and carers to be able to order uniform online and have it delivered free to the school (or Highfield Ely in the interim) or delivered to the home address incuring a post and packing fee. The link will be added to the website in due course.
