Fire Service Visit
We had a visit from the Fire Service. They talked to the students about firework and fire safety and showed them all of the equipment they use. The students also enjoyed using the hose to see the rainbows in the water. Some of our older students also got lots of valuable career advice. We may have some budding fire fighters!
Restart a Heart Day 2018
Students participated in the national Restart a Heart Day 2018. Emma the paramedic came into school to teach the students in Herons basic life support including CPR, the recovery position and how to raise the alarm in an emergency.
Careers and Enterprise Workshop
Herons participated in a Careers and Enterprise workshop where they explored team work, co-operation and tolerance.
Highfield Littleport Sports Day 2018
We had a fantastic afternoon today at our first sports day. We even did a flashmob at the end! Lots of achievements this afternoon. We were assisted by RAF Marham personnel too.
Our Spanish Friends
Highfield Littleport have made links with a Spanish school and are now conducting Skype calls to test out their language skills and learn more about the country. We are linked with a school called Ponce de Leon, based in a small town called Rota, in the south of Spain near Cadiz. The children were from Year 4 and enjoyed getting to know more about us!
Frank Bruno Fun Day
Eagles class attended a fun day organised by the Frank Bruno Foundation. The students participated in a variety of sporting activities and had a great time. They were even able to meet the man himself...Frank Bruno!
Owls trip to the Synagogue
Owls class have been learning about different religions and visited the Synagogue in Cambridge to learn all about Judaism.
Learning Essential Life Skills
Our students are now attending a purpose arranged cafe at Littleport Leisure Centre. They learn life skills, social skills and how to handle money.
History of Littleport
We have been learning about the History of Littleport. We went to the Harley Davidson statue and the War Memorial and the train station.
People in the Community
Today a member of the RAF came to visit Owls and Sparrows classes to talk about how he helps people in the community and gave us some information about his job and the places he had visited. We got to try on lots of his kit too!
Fabulous Forest Schools
The primary classes have Forest Schools sessions weekly with our Forest Schools Leader Maria. Excellent development for PSHE and group collaboration.
