An excellent collaborative learning event. Many thanks to STEM ambassadors from RAF Marham facilitating this event. To mark National Science and Engineering Week, students from Highfield Littleport and Littleport and East Cambridgeshire Academy went head to head. Students worked with STEM ambassadors to learn firstly about the laws of motion, friction and aerodynamics. They took in part in a variety of learning activities including making and testing balloon cars. They then followed some precise instructions to design and make their own rocket car. These were then raced to see which one passed the post in the quickest time. One Highfield Littleport's teams car topped 69 miles per hour to win the challenge. Students have applied their learning and haven't stopped talking about Newton's Laws of Motion ever since!
