After many months of waiting we got to use our new dining hall and kitchen that has been under construction. Our new meals provider, Edwards and Blake cooked up a feast in the sparkly new kitchen.  There was lots of positive feedback from all of the students and many cleared their plates.  That is a testament to the food in itself.

We were also very lucky that the builders were able to preserve our fantastic graffiti artwork.  This really brightens up the space and makes it a great place to eat.

Students benefit from being able to develop their social interaction skills and are also able to learn to act appropriately learning impeccable table manners.  Students were great at using Makaton, pictures and gestures (as well as some enthusiastic voices!) to make their meal selections. We are also impressed by how students are developing their independent skills by clearing their own plates and helping to clear up after themselves.
